A Little clay, a little paint and so much feelings
- Sculptural painting -
I have found that sculpting on the canvas adds an exciting dimension to my works. It deepens the composition and makes it real and mysterious at the same time. Besides, framing of my artworks adds onto the unanimity of reality and mysticism, as the frame is not just a frame, but continuation of the composition. The frame extends the action of painting beyond the canvas and into the space of the viewer. I started creating and exhibiting three-dimensional art works while I was in Baku. However, my trip to New York and acquittance with the world of art in there sharpened my gaze and shaped my unique artistic style.
- Miniatures -
My handmade miniature house models put together lots of different shapes and forms in clay. Home symbolizes a place, where I become grounded. Thus, the stories, I create for heroes living in these houses, help me to express my imagination in each detail of these artworks. The roots in the rabbit grandmother’s garden, each book on a bookshelf of her little granddaughter, charm of a mermaid – each one of these features requires meticulous attention to detail and conveys the spirit of the artwork.
- Photography -
My interest in photography is relatively new. I enjoy taking photographs. Compliments I receive inspire me to work more to improve my skills. I have shared some pictures online and some of the prints have been sold right away.
